Have you ever said something really rude or inappropriate and were immediately embarrassed? I mean, you didn't mean to say it—it just popped out. And then you thought, Where did that come from? Most of us have had that experience. It came from a hidden place in your heart, a place you weren't aware of or have tried to forget.

Because there's pain there. There are wounds, anger, pain, sin, and offense that we cover over and think they're gone, but they're not. God knows our hearts. He knows what's churning away deep inside us—hidden, waiting to hurt us, and causing us to say or do things we really don't want to do.

He knows every hidden desire, every wound, every hidden sin, and every ungodly belief in the depths of our hearts, and He wants to heal them all.

Action Step: Read the Bible every day. As you do, Holy Spirit will reveal things to you about yourself—things that need to be changed.

Listen to Him. Face the hard truth of your brokenness, knowing that healing is on the other side of this tough truth. Surrender your brokenness to God. Find scriptures that deal with that issue and do whatever Holy Spirit tells you. Soon, this area of weakness, of brokenness, will be an area of strength, and it'll be an area where you can bring healing to others.

One final verse here:
Isaiah 55:11: “So is my word that goes out of my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

Open your Bible and let the unfailing words of God revive you and bring you back to life—abundant life.
