Action Steps to understand the Bible first heart start with the right attitude. Be humble. James 4:6 says, God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. This means being correctable. No one has perfect theology. You won't either. God gives us grace to cover our inadequacies. Seek God and remain humble and Holy Spirit will lead and guide you into all the truth.
Reflect now on whether there are areas in your life where you need to obey God's word. Second habit read God's word daily. Matthew 4:4 man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Just as the Israelites had to gather the fresh manna every day from God for the 40 years they traveled through the desert going to the promised land, we must gather our daily bread from God.
Third Tools There are a lot of resources out there today because everything's digitized. Use resources wisely, but keep God as your primary source. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, do your best to present yourself to God as one approved a worker who has no need to be ashamed. Habakkuk 2:3 says, for the revelation awaits, uh, an appointed time. It speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it, for it will certainly come and will not delay. Wait on God's timing. Trust that God knows exactly what you need and the perfect time to provide it.
