God reveals Bible truths through prayer and meditation. Prayer Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. James 1:5 if any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault.
It'll be given to you. Many times in the past when I faced really difficult, perplexing situations, I asked God for answers and I heard nothing. But when I picked up my Bible with those same questions again and again, God spoke to me through specific Bible verses.
And he'll speak to you too. Remember the promise. Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find. Practical wisdom is to ask God what an open Bible. God speaks to us most often through His Word, his living Word. Meditation. Meditating on the Bible means thinking deeply and reflecting on Bible truth so that Holy Spirit is able to speak to us through Scripture, through the thoughts that come to mind as we meditate on God's Word.
Meditate, uh, in the original language, actually means to mutter. One of the powerful ways to meditate on God's Word is to simply read it aloud. Read a verse again and again and again. You can read it emphasizing the first word. The first time you read through the second word, the second time you read through et cetera.
I found that to be a very powerful way to see much more deeply into a particular verse. In Psalm 1:2, it says, Blessed is the one who meditates on his law day and night. Psalm 100:97. Oh, how I love your law. It's my meditation all the day.
