Caleb was 85 when he entered the Promised Land. When Joshua divided the land and gave it to each tribe of Israel, Caleb said,
"So here I am today, 85 years old. Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there. And their cities were large and fortified. But the Lord helping me, I will drive them out, just as he said."
Joshua 14:10-12 NIV
Let me explain. The Anakites were the greatest giants who lived in the area. Caleb asked for the land where the giants were.
That's the reason they didn't enter the Promised Land. Because the people said, there are giants there. But Caleb said, give me the giants. I'll take their mountain. The Lord helping me, I will drive them out, just as he said. And Caleb did just that. He drove the giants out and lived on that mountain at the age of 85.
Satan loves to make you feel useless. You're too old or too young to do anything significant for God. Declare this with me. I am not too young. I am not too old. The Lord helping me. I will complete God's plan for my life. I will do everything he has planned for me.
It is good to know God can use me, no matter how old or how young I am. Thank you, God.
