What can you rely on when you're facing the fight of your life?
Action Steps:
When facing adversity in your life, first ask God what to do Jehoshaphat prayed, "For we have no power to face this vast army that's attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you."
2 Chronicles 20:12

Don't try to live in your own strength. Admit your weakness. Tell God when you don't know what to do, lay out your problem before him and ask for his guidance and for his help.

Don't just make a decision and plow ahead. Remember, that's what Jehoshaphat and Ahab did in the previous battle. Ahab was killed, the army was defeated, and Jehoshaphat almost lost his life.

Second, God will give you a strategy to overcome your situation. Once you surrender your situation to God and ask him for wisdom and help, he'll answer you. Wait for his answer. That's what God did Jehoshaphat when he and the people fasted and waited upon God.

If you look at the various battles in the Bible where God led the Israelites to victory, often against overwhelming odds, you'll see that God's strategy in each battle is different. So don't think that you know, because we don't. We need God's wisdom to attack and defeat each problem in our lives.

Third, God will fight for you and you will win.
Deuteronomy 20:22
"As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated." Jehoshaphat's story shows us that praise invites God's presence and power into our battles.

It's when we humble ourselves, seek his guidance, and lift our voices in worship that God fights for us. Whatever you're facing, praise him and trust him to bring the victory he will.
