To make progress in our spiritual lives, we need clear direction and a plan to get us there. If you had to list three things that you could do every day that would totally change your life, what would they be? I believe these three things will change your identity and transform your life.

First, know God.
Build a deep personal relationship with God and God's human family.

Second, Grow like God.
Let him transform you into a new person. See Romans 12:1-2 and give you the character of Christ. See Galatians 5:22-23.

Third, Show God.
The best way to tell the world about God is to be like him and then do what God tells you to do.

What practical steps can you take today? We need a daily routine for knowing, growing, and showing God. Here are five practical ways to build your daily routine around knowing, growing, and showing God.

First, meet Jesus in praise and thanksgiving. Start your day with worship and gratitude. Praise him for who he is and what he's done. Second, meet Jesus in His Word. Let the Bible shape your thoughts and guide your actions. Third, meet Jesus in prayer prayers where you align your heart with God's, share your struggles, your hopes and your joys with him and hear his heart as you do.

Fourth, meet Jesus in Christian community. Surround yourself with people who will encourage and challenge you in your faith. Fifth, meet Jesus in loving others. Serve and love the people God places in your life. Some of the greatest experiences I've had with the Lord have been while I've been serving him by helping other people.

Do you note that they all talk about meeting Jesus there? Because that's exactly what happens when you approach the Bible, when you approach praise and you approach prayer and community and loving others. With Jesus, you'll come to know God through these five actions. You'll become like him and you will change the lives of those around you.

You don't need to have it all figured out. Just take the next step. Jesus will meet you where you are and walk with you as you grow closer to Him. The result will be a life transformed by God's love. Building a daily routine that strengthens your relationship with Jesus is about so much more than habits or checklists.

It's about transformation. It's about becoming the person that Father God created you to be and living out his purposes and reflecting his love to the world
