Your Life is a Message to the World
What is the purpose, the meaning of my life?
To become like Jesus, become a son/daughter of God engaged in the family business of saving souls and establishing the kingdom of God on the earth.
Your life is a message from Jesus to the people in your world. His message is written on your heart.
Ezekiel 36:26
And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.

Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you. Christ himself wrote it – not with ink, but with God’s living Spirit: MSG
You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. NIV
You are God’s message, written on a human heart. You are surrounded with people who need to hear what your life communicates. Who you are and what you do is your life message.
1 Peter 2:12 NLT
Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.
Light of the World
Matthew 5:14-16
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Your Life Speaks long after you are gone
Hebrews 11:4 NLT
It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. Abel’s offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man, and God showed his approval of his gifts. Although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us by his example of faith.
I delight in the fact that my life can speak to people about Jesus, long after I have gone to heaven. My life can speak to future generations.
That’s true for you too!
We are the message of God to our world – the people we will meet and lives we will touch.

Each of us has a life message.
Activation
At the end of your life, your family and friends will gather around and talk about you and what your life meant to them. What do you want them to say? What do you want your life message to be.
What changes would you have to make to become that life message?
Pray and ask God to help you live your life message. Don’t be surprised if His life message for you is greater than what you are thinking now. As you pursue living your life with purpose, God will show you His plans and purposes for you.
