Jesus knew the disciples would abandon him. He knew Peter would deny him 3 times. The same disciples who were squabbling about who was the greatest at the last supper, would one day sit on thrones of honor in heaven. That is what Jesus told these proud, flawed men hours before they took him to be crucified. God is more than able to forgive and restore our failings. Luke 22:31-34!!
