Passionate Pursuit of God

Passionate Pursuit of God

THE answer to many of the problems you face – big problems, nagging issues and pain points you’ve had for years,  is passionate pursuit of the Living God.

"When we are pursuing God with all our hearts Our soul and all our strength, then in the process we are changed. Change is intentional. You can accidentally become worse. But you don’t accidentally become better in  regards to character.

It is a known fact that when people really begin to love someone greater than themself that you will see that person transformed. I’ve had friends who fell in love and became different people. Better people."

John Maxwell

The history of the World is the story of a loving Father relentlessly pursuing his wayward human Children and drawing them back home to heaven and to Him. God is pursuing you.

God’s love for us is the story of the Old Testament and the New.

1 John 4:10-12 NIV

10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

1 John 4:19 KJV

We love him, because he first loved us.

Do You Know Him?

John 17:3 TPT

Eternal life means to know and experience you as the only true God, and to know and experience Jesus Christ, as the Son whom you have sent.

Love is Personal

Love isn’t having correct information. Love is not theology – right believing.  Theology is important, but love is the greatest thing – Jesus said that in Matthew 22:38.

Love is one personality connecting to another personality. It is a tender, affectionate relationship. Love is a heart connection.

And Love is an awesome experience; It is way past knowledge.

David loved God. He knew Him. David passionately pursued God.

A.W. Tozer writes that the Psalms are David pursuing and finding God.

If you are looking for relationship with God, the Psalms are a great place to start. I share how I pursued God and found Him through the Psalms in my video “Delight in Me and I Will Give You the Desires of Your Heart,” Jesus. (use thumbnail)

Activation – It is in pursuit of God that We are Changed

Agape love (the unconditional, only from God love) must be experienced to be understood. Agape (God’s love)  isn’t just human love with more effort. No, it supernatural, something only God can give us.

2 Corinthians 3:18 EXB explains the process:

And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.

We become like those we spend time with. As we spend time with God, He transforms us to be like Him.

And a lot of the problems we have, the insecurity and emotional wounds we’ve had since we were young will suddenly be healed,

our fears will fade as the fire of God’s love in and through us grows hotter.

Secret sins will fade into our past, eclipsed by the splendor of being loved, really loved by God.

Distractions and busyness will no longer appeal to you.

Ungodly thoughts and twisted beliefs will somehow no longer find space in our minds. God’s love renews our minds. Being loved and learning to love transforms us into new creatures by changing the way we think. (See Romans 12:2)

Action Step: Passionately Pursue God as the “One Thing” You Desire Most.

Do the activation in the video!! It’s the most important part. Nothing changes until you and I do something different!
