Holy Spirit can Transform Only What You Surrender

This video reveals how metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly is a model of Christian transformation. 

The Greek word we translate "transformation" in Romans 12:2,  is metamorphoo - from which we get the English word "metamorphosis." 

From Stage 1 self-centered, desire driven, and destructive, to Stage 2 Surrender, to Stage 3 the subject of metamorphosis can do nothing to transform himself,  Stage 4 the breakdown (the hidden mess is revealed), then Stage 5 something beautiful, beyond imagination emerges from the process.

The key to the whole process (which neither man nor caterpillar can do himself) is SURRENDER. 

Holy Spirit takes what we surrender and transforms it - creating the character of Jesus in us.

The process is important. We need to know our role and Holy Spirit's role.

A caterpillar only goes through this process once. People go through it many, many times - it is, for us, a lifelong process.
